Job Description
A Civil Engineer responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring project milestones, safety standards, and regulatory compliance are met for a solar power plant project within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site activities including equipment delivery, construction progress, testing, and commissioning of solar power projects
- Drive contractors and OE teams to meet performance targets, resolve delays, and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Coordinate construction interfaces and resolve site-level issues with EPC contractors, OEs, and project teams
- Monitor project schedule, identify risks to milestones, and recommend corrective actions
- Manage compliance with HSE requirements, local regulations, standards, and LGU obligations
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues related to construction, permits, and logistics
- Lead punch-list inspections, ensure technical conformance, and participate in project closeout and lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
- Licensed Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineer
- Over 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager
- Strong background in construction management, with solid knowledge of QA QC and HSE standards
- Hands-on experience in solar project construction and implementation
- In-depth understanding of construction-related permitting processes and the preparation and execution of QA QC and HSE plans
- Proficient in construction monitoring tools and project management software e.g., MS Project, Primavera
