Job Description

A Civil Engineer oversees the construction and commissioning of solar power projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion through coordination with contractors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee on-site activities including equipment delivery, construction progress, testing, and commissioning of solar power projects
Drive contractors and operations teams to meet performance targets and resolve delays
Coordinate construction interfaces and resolve site-level issues with EPC contractors, OEs, and project team
Monitor project schedule, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions
Manage compliance with HSE requirements, local regulations, and standards
Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve issues impacting construction, permits, or logistics
Lead punch-list inspections and ensure conformance with technical specifications
Participate in project closeout and lessons learned reviews

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
Licensed Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineer
Over 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager
Strong background in construction management, with solid knowledge of QA QC and HSE standards
Hands-on experience in solar project construction and implementation
In-depth understanding of construction-related permitting processes and the preparation and execution of QA QC and HSE plans
Proficient in construction monitoring tools and project management software e.g., MS Project, Primavera
