Job Description
The Project Manager will oversee the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, primarily solar and battery systems, ensuring successful project execution, technical compliance, and stakeholder collaboration within the Asia region.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and onboard EPC partners, ensuring qualification and compliance with SOPs
- Manage the technical aspects of project execution, collaborating with stakeholders to meet milestones
- Oversee construction of renewable energy projects, including solar and battery technologies
- Provide technical expertise during early project development and advise on constructive aspects
- Manage operations and maintenance relationships and activities as needed
- Negotiate EPC contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in Solar and Battery technologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in building at least 15 MW of renewable energy projects, including a mix of small-scale C I projects.
- Experience managing O M relationships and conducting operations and maintenance functions when needed.
- Experience negotiating EPC contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization, and working closely with legal and procurement teams to finalize agreements.
- Demonstrated track record of managing the construction of renewable energy projects, including selecting EPC partners, ensuring qualification and vendor onboarding based on PEAK ENERGY SOP, and leading technical aspects to ensure successful project execution.
- Experience in identifying and onboarding EPC partners based on PEAK ENERGY SOP.
- Technical expertise in solar (preferably C I rooftop installations) and battery technologies to enhance the technical capabilities of the business.
- Knowledge of standard solar-related tools such as Pvsyst and Helioscope.
- Senior-level leadership experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Ability to participate in the early stages of project development and advise the development team on constructive aspects of the project.
- Ownership of the Projects Operation Phase and acting as the local technical expert.
