Job Description
The role involves leading cross-functional technical projects related to the development, testing, and deployment of hardware payloads for ocean-based renewable energy systems, coordinating engineering efforts, managing schedules and risks, and collaborating with external partners to ensure successful program execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project milestone schedules for the Compute Payloads program, ensuring clear communication of status, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive alignment and efficient execution of payload development, testing, and integration.
- Lead scheduling and coordination for payload test, integration, and demonstration operations.
- Oversee change management for payload configurations throughout the design and deployment process.
- Track dependencies and integration points across mechanical, electrical, software, and thermal systems.
- Support development and execution of test beds, shore demonstrators, and sea-worthy demonstrators.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and fabrication partners to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Monitor and escalate program risks, contributing to mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience supporting hardware product development in startup or early-stage environments.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to meet aggressive program timelines.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, thermal, and software integration.
- Experience coordinating with external suppliers and fabrication partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to travel as needed for site visits and partner engagements.
