Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Linux, responsible for developing and enhancing critical edge computing systems used for early wildfire detection, working at the intersection of embedded Linux, IoT, and AI to enable faster fire response and prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance embedded Linux systems for edge computers used in wildfire detection.
- Work with custom Linux OS to enable faster fire detection and response capabilities.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to embedded systems, IoT, and AI integration.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing embedded Linux systems, including working with custom Linux OS.
- Experience in developing and maintaining network-connected edge computing devices, specifically cloud-connected edge computers used as digital watchtowers in wilderness areas.
- Strong programming skills in languages relevant to embedded Linux development, such as C and C++.
- Experience solving complex technical challenges related to embedded systems, IoT devices, and AI integration.
- Ability to develop software that enables faster fire detection and response in critical systems.
- Experience working at the intersection of embedded Linux, IoT, and AI technologies.
- Understanding of real-time data processing and system optimization for critical response applications.
- Demonstrated ability to develop software that can operate reliably in outdoor, wilderness environments with potentially limited connectivity.
- Experience with hardware-software integration in embedded systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote or hybrid team environment, contributing to a mission-critical project.
