Job Description
This role is a technical product management position focused on building and scaling an AI-first data platform within the clean energy industry, leading a team to develop innovative data products and tools that enhance energy data insights and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and scaling of 0-1 platform products, data schemas, and architecture.
- Create tools for users to explore and interpret energy data and enable effective HITL workflows.
- Synthesize fragmented consumer energy data and local context into clear insights.
- Define, measure, and improve the quality of models, workflows, and data outputs.
- Understand customer, business, and technical needs; advocate for stakeholders.
- Learn and stay informed about the residential energy market and industry ecosystem.
- Communicate proactively with external customers and stakeholders to set clear expectations.
- Manage and prioritize team efforts through planning, OKRs, and roadmaps.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of product management experience working with AI systems, data platforms, or ML teams.
- Experience implementing agentic AI systems and understanding how to evaluate nondeterministic products.
- Experience building full stack products and leveraging AI prototyping and coding tools to learn faster.
- Proficiency in data fluency, including quantitative rigor and logic, with regular use of SQL to inform decisions and measure success.
- Experience building algorithm-based products.
- Strong writing and communication skills to create clear, persuasive PRDs, vision documents, and detailed execution plans, and to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience in identifying, measuring, and addressing performance bottlenecks in data systems and designing scalable platforms.
- Ability to proactively communicate with external customers and stakeholders to set clear expectations.
- Experience managing and leading a team with a bias for action, implementing run processes to deliver quality at speed, and leading prioritization and planning efforts including crafting OKRs and roadmaps.
