The Capital Markets Analyst Associate supports capital raising activities, including developing financial models and executing funding processes for tax equity, debt, and equity investments, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to facilitate renewable energy financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Excel financial models to support tax equity and debt capital funding
Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
Report financial activities to key stakeholders and collaborate with technology teams to automate reports
Enhance existing processes and workflows for greater efficiency by partnering with cross-functional teams
Liaise with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure transparency and collaboration
Build and maintain relationships with banks and external partners involved in capital markets activities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
1-3 years of experience in banking or capital markets or 3-5 years of experience as an Associate in related roles
Strong business acumen and analytical skills with deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
Proactively identifies improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implements solutions and updates them
Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams in Finance, Accounting, Technology, etc.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders
Experience in developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
Experience leading the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
Responsible for reporting associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders, while partnering with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
Utilizes skills to enhance existing processes and workflows for more efficiency
Liaisons with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key banks and other external partners
