Job Description
The Capital Markets Analyst Associate supports capital raising activities, including developing financial models and executing funding processes for tax equity, debt, and equity investments, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to facilitate renewable energy financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Excel financial models to support tax equity and debt capital funding
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Prepare and report financial data to key stakeholders, partnering with technology teams for automation
- Enhance existing processes and workflows for greater efficiency in capital markets activities
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology to ensure transparency and partnership
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and external financial partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; a Master's or MBA is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in banking or capital markets, or 3-5 years of experience as an Associate, with solar industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape.
- Experience developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding.
- Experience leading the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders.
- Ability to report associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders and partner with technology teams to ensure automation on reports.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implement solutions.
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders.
