Job Description

The General Manager, Palmetto Accelerator, leads strategic investments in new growth areas, oversees pilot programs and partnerships, and drives long-term company expansion through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic investment in new growth areas and oversee their development to achieve product-market fit, scale, and profitability.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to assess capital allocation opportunities and evaluate pilot program performance.
  • Structure, launch, and manage pilot programs, adapting strategies based on early metrics and proof points.
  • Manage high-potential strategic partnerships from initiation through evaluation, closing, and implementation.
  • Develop and monitor metrics frameworks to evaluate early product-market fit and traction of pilot programs.
  • Allocate capital effectively based on long-term return potential and ongoing cost-benefit assessments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with leadership to execute strategic initiatives and foster a fast-paced, experimental culture.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to analyze complex data, set KPIs, and structure the testing needed to evaluate investment areas and pilot programs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to build trust, alignment, and support from cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator able to convey a vision and progress to that vision to both internal vs. external audiences, and senior leaders vs. company-wide.
  • Must have a phenomenal understanding of capital allocation.
  • Self-starter and structured thinker experienced at breaking down complex challenges and opportunities with clear frameworks and processes.
  • Highly adaptable to changing situations and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Experience owning both strategic direction and operational execution in GM, Product, or GTM positions for at least 12 years.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a zero-to-one mentality.
  • Experience working on early-stage startups or emerging products within a later-stage company, working with limited resources, team, capital, time, aggressive goals, and compounded urgency.
