Job Description
The Senior Product Manager for Palmetto Home is responsible for developing and executing product strategies for consumer financing platforms related to solar, storage, and home improvement, working cross-functionally to drive growth, improve efficiency, and deliver a seamless customer experience in a fast-growing clean tech company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the product roadmap for Palmetto's financing origination and servicing platform.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, collaborating with engineering and stakeholders to develop, test, and expand features.
- Evaluate and evolve product strategy based on data, experiments, and market signals.
- Identify and build solutions to drive growth in core financing segments and expand into new markets and asset classes.
- Integrate with external platforms, capital providers, and installer tools to accelerate growth and market share.
- Develop deep customer insights through research and direct engagement, translating insights into product solutions.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence prioritization across teams without direct authority.
- Apply modern product development practices, including discovery, rapid validation, and iterative delivery.
- Leverage AI tools and data capabilities to improve discovery cycles, team productivity, and platform insights.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of product management experience, with meaningful time in consumer finance origination, servicing, capital markets, credit risk, or adjacent domains
- Background in B2B home improvement, solar, or consumer-facing financial products is strongly preferred
- Experience at a high-growth startup or during a period of significant product portfolio scaling is a strong plus
- Proven track record owning a roadmap, leading sprint execution, and shipping independently
- Deep fluency with platform workflows, API integrations, and decisioning systems connecting internal and third-party tools
- Strong analytical orientation comfortable defining metrics, pulling data, and connecting quantitative signals to product decisions
- Experience running experiments, learning from failure, and using those learnings to move faster
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) to communicate and influence cross-functional teams without relying on authority
- Bias toward action, able to disambiguate fast, move toward clarity, and know when to go hands-on
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable starting from zero and building something meaningful from scratch
