Job Description

The Quality Program Manager, Comfort is responsible for developing and managing quality assurance standards and processes across multiple residential energy technologies, ensuring high-quality installations by contractors, leading a team of QC technicians, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support platform expansion and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality standards, documentation, and approval requirements for HVAC, geothermal, water heater, and generator installations.
  • Build and refine quality review frameworks for new and existing product lines, incorporating lessons learned and industry standards.
  • Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each technology vertical to ensure consistent program execution.
  • Lead the QC Technician team, oversee daily review processes, and allocate workloads across product lines.
  • Monitor review queues, ensure timely approvals/rejections, and provide guidance to improve efficiency and contractor experience.
  • Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for contractors, supporting their understanding of quality standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with product development and cross-functional teams to streamline processes and support platform expansion.
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics, milestone completion, and contractor performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with technical teams to identify platform improvements and support the integration of new technologies.
  • Evaluate industry trends and code changes to keep quality standards current across all supported product lines.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in a technical or construction-based role with a strong foundation in residential HVAC and or geothermal systems.
  • Four (4) years of demonstrated experience developing and operationalizing programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Demonstrated ability to extend technical expertise across adjacent mechanical or energy system technologies.
  • Experience in data analytics and performance reporting.
  • Strong collaboration skills with tech enablement teams.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence third parties.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product and operations excellence while supporting business growth and commercial objectives.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed management environment with multiple stakeholders and reporting relationships.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
