The Quality Control Technician is responsible for reviewing project documentation, verifying system installations, and ensuring quality standards are met for solar and energy systems, supporting the company's mission to promote renewable energy adoption and maintain high asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
Review and close-out milestone project documents, photos, and design details to ensure quality standards.
Verify that sold systems' production matches installed designs and confirm the functionality of critical system components via solar monitoring platforms.
Assess installation photos and job close-out documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Provide clear feedback and resolve issues related to rejected project packages to facilitate quick re-submissions.
Support installation best practices, customer site profiling, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Monitor project throughput, approve or reject milestones, and communicate decisions to external partners.
Identify trends in partner performance, provide recommendations, and contribute to partner education and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in a technical or construction based solar role
Experience with interdepartmental problem solving or project management
Experience in photovoltaic design preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with and influence third parties
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Excellent analytical skills
Experience with standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
