This internship offers hands-on experience in customer support automation and AI, focusing on developing and optimizing AI-driven customer service solutions within a clean energy company. The role involves analyzing data, supporting AI tools, and collaborating across teams to enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and optimization of the AI customer support agent, Sunny, including testing conversation flows and reviewing AI resolution data
Analyze customer contact data to identify trends, high-volume issues, and opportunities for AI automation
Assist in creating and maintaining knowledge base content for AI training
Document workflows, SOPs, and process improvements within the CX team
Collaborate with CX operations, engineering, and product teams on cross-functional projects
Contribute to a summer project with defined deliverables and present findings to CX leadership
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field
Genuine curiosity about AI, automation, and how technology can improve customer experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain a complex problem clearly in a Slack message or a slide
Comfortable working with data, pulling reports, spotting patterns, and drawing conclusions
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and hit deadlines without heavy hand-holding
Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in customer experience (CX), operations, product, or AI-adjacent work
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
