Job Description
The Capital Markets Analyst Associate supports capital raising activities, including developing financial models and executing funding processes for tax equity, debt, and equity investments, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to facilitate renewable energy financing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Excel financial models to support tax equity and debt capital funding
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Prepare and report financial data to key stakeholders, ensuring automation and efficiency
- Enhance existing processes and workflows for improved operational efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Data Analytics, Operations, and Finance to ensure transparency and partnership
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and external financial partners
- Support capital raising activities through modeling, execution, and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; a Master's or MBA is a plus
- 1-3 years of experience as an Analyst or 3-5 years of experience as an Associate in banking or capital markets; solar industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
- Experience developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
- Experience leading the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Ability to report to key financial stakeholders and partner with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
- Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implementing solutions
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders
