Job Description
The Capital Markets Analyst Associate supports capital raising activities, including developing financial models and executing funding processes, to facilitate renewable energy projects and investments for Palmetto. The role involves collaboration with external partners and internal teams to ensure efficient capital market operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Excel financial models to support tax equity and debt capital funding
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Prepare and report financial data to key stakeholders, ensuring automation and efficiency
- Enhance existing processes and workflows for improved operational efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Data Analytics, Operations, and Finance to ensure transparency and partnership
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and external financial partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's or MBA is a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in banking or capital markets or 3-5 years of experience as an Associate in related fields
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
- Experience in developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
- Experience leading the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Ability to report associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders and partner with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implement solutions
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, Technology, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders
- Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
