Job Description
A Space Operations Engineer embedded in the Payload Engineering Team responsible for developing services to control satellites, working closely with cross-functional teams to build tools, processes, and products that support satellite operations and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create services to control satellites
- Develop tools, processes, and products for satellite operations
- Collaborate with analytics, software, and product teams to support satellite control and mission success
Requirements
- Experience in creating services to control satellites as part of a Payload Engineering team.
- Ability to work closely with Analytics, Software, and Product Teams to build tools, processes, and products critical to customer success.
- Reporting directly to the VP of Payload Engineering.
- Proficiency in embedded software development for space-based systems.
- Knowledge of space operations and satellite control systems.
- Experience in developing or working with hyperspectral satellite data or similar space-based infrastructure is preferred (implied by context, but not explicitly stated as mandatory).
