Job Description
An Applied Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer responsible for developing, architecting, and scaling ML solutions using hyperspectral satellite data to provide actionable insights across various sectors, operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end machine learning solutions for satellite data analytics.
- Architect scalable tools and production pipelines to enhance ML capabilities.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose technical solutions to improve system performance.
Requirements
- Must have experience operating as both an applied scientist and systems builder, taking end-to-end ownership of machine learning solutions.
- Must be capable of spotting inefficiencies, architecting solutions, and building tools needed to scale capabilities.
- Must be comfortable diving into machine learning theory, developing internal tools from scratch, and architecting production pipelines.
- Must have the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive them to completion in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State, due to ITAR regulations.
- Must be willing to work in a hybrid model with a strong emphasis on collaboration in the office in San Francisco, CA.
