Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee the execution of solar energy projects in the Pacific Northwest, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards, while coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders to support project development, procurement, permitting, and interconnection efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple solar project execution within schedule and budget constraints, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Lead EPC procurement process, including technical exhibit preparation, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Coordinate with support functions such as development, engineering, construction, legal, and finance to meet project deadlines.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor selection, procurement strategy, and compliance with permits and regulations.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, expenses, and financial accounts to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure safety and quality assurance plans are implemented and adhered to on-site and across project activities.
  • Manage interconnection processes with electrical transmission authorities and ensure compliance with interconnection agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with authorities, regulatory agencies, and professional organizations.
  • Engage stakeholders and serve as the primary contact for project communication and updates.
  • Lead project meetings, report progress to management, and provide strategic input for future projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering, construction and or technical project management experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in project management in renewable energy or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Experience with Substations, Line Extensions, and Interconnection requirements.
  • Experience with EPC contracts from ground up.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.
  • Ability to contribute to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees.
  • A recent history of successfully building trust and respect in a symbiotic relationship.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of time management and organizational skills resulting in the ability to prioritize manage multiple projects at various stages of delivery.
  • Must possess strong quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows, as well as project scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Must have a roll up your sleeves and let’s get the job done right type attitude.
  • A willingness to contribute to a culture which thrives on building trust and holding one another accountable.
  • Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
  • Ability to travel and access sites of varying locations, with frequent travel up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time.
  • Must carry an active driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
