The Assistant Project Manager supports the execution of solar energy projects from engineering and procurement through to commercial operation, coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Support the execution of solar energy projects from engineering and procurement through to commercial operation.
Coordinate and support project schedules, budgets, and financial requirements across multiple teams.
Assist in documenting product and contractor specifications during planning stages.
Help compile submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and support project close-out documentation.
Prepare and maintain project controls, budgets, schedules of values, and billing mechanisms.
Communicate effectively while managing schedules, budgets, contractors, and project risks.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies on all project sites.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience supporting operations, engineering, or construction.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated and self-starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
Must possess strong quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
Working knowledge with Microsoft Office 365 is a must.
Must have an active driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain.
Position requires frequent travel, up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time.
