Job Description
The Data Engineering Manager will lead and support a technical team focused on data acquisition and data warehouse pipelines, designing workflow strategies to ensure efficient data processing aligned with company goals within the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead the data engineering team focused on data acquisition and data warehouse pipelines.
- Design and implement the team's workflow strategy to ensure efficient data work flow from intake to delivery.
- Collaborate with technical leads to align team efforts with company goals and strategies.
- Manage and oversee the technical execution of data engineering projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role supporting a technical team of data engineers.
- Proven ability to design and implement workflow strategies for data engineering teams, ensuring transparent and smooth flow of work from intake through delivery.
- Experience working with data acquisition processes and data warehouse pipelines.
- Ability to work with data engineering technical leads to ensure alignment between company goals, strategies, and team OKRs.
- Reporting directly to a Director of Data Management and Information Security, indicating the need for experience in a similar reporting structure.
