Job Description
The role involves installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and engaging with customers to promote renewable energy initiatives, all while ensuring safety and customer excellence as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate how meters and in-home displays work to customers
- Educate customers on energy saving and green energy initiatives
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer questions
- Ensure safety standards are maintained during installations
Requirements
- Qualified in Gas with Electrical Training Provided
- Experience in installing and fitting smart meters
- Ability to demonstrate and explain how meters and in-home displays work to customers
- Ability to show customers how their meters can help them save energy
- Strong commitment to safety and customer excellence
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and get to know them
- Willingness to support the green energy revolution and answer customer questions about it
- Ability to work as part of a team supporting performance goals
- Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and shift administrative tasks to focus on service delivery
- Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility as needed
- Ability to communicate with the recruitment team throughout the hiring process
