Job Description
A Senior Applied AI Engineer responsible for building and scaling generative AI systems, models, and infrastructure to support innovative AI projects that advance the company's mission toward a low-carbon future and Net Zero goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale systems that enable teams to use Generative AI models, including LLMs, RAG, and agents
- Develop scalable infrastructure, platforms, or shared services for AI deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop flagship AI projects
- Establish and improve best practices for working with AI within the organization
- Take ownership of AI system development to support the company's mission towards Net Zero
Requirements
- Experience in building and scaling systems that allow teams to use Generative AI models including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
- Ability to take ownership of developing platforms, shared services, or other scalable infrastructure for AI applications.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to build flagship AI projects.
- Proficiency in developing best practices for working with AI within an organization.
- Comfort with ambiguity, including the ability to identify approaches to complex problems and validate solutions quickly.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies relevant to the role, including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents.
- Experience in developing solutions that contribute to environmental or sustainability goals, specifically moving towards Net Zero.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with wide open problems requiring innovative solutions.
