Job Description
A Senior AI Engineer responsible for building and scaling systems that enable the use of Generative AI models, such as LLMs, RAG, and agents, to develop innovative AI solutions that support Octopus Energy's mission toward a low-carbon future.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale systems that enable teams to use Generative AI models, LLMs, RAG, and agents
- Develop scalable infrastructure, platforms, or shared services for AI deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop flagship AI projects
- Establish and improve best practices for working with AI within the company
- Take ownership of AI solutions that contribute to the company's goal of achieving Net Zero
Requirements
- Experience in building and scaling systems that allow teams to use Generative AI models such as LLMs, RAG, and agents, including developing platforms, shared services, or other scalable infrastructure.
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team to build out flagship AI projects.
- Proven experience in developing solutions that contribute to moving closer to Net Zero or similar sustainability goals.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, figuring out approaches quickly, and validating solutions fast.
- Strong understanding of modern AI tools and infrastructure relevant to Generative AI and large language models.
