Job Description
A Roofer's mate role supporting the installation of Solar PV systems across the UK as part of a renewable energy company's growth team, helping to promote sustainable technology and fight climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on rooftops
- Support the lead roofer in ensuring proper roofing and mounting of solar panels
- Prepare and handle roofing materials and tools for installation tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment during installations
- Assist with site setup and cleanup to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, with demonstrated ability to assist in Solar PV installation across the UK
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments, adhering to safety standards
- Knowledge of roofing materials and techniques relevant to solar panel installation
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
- Willingness to travel across the UK to different installation sites as required
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service and assisting customers with their solar PV systems
