Job Description
A position for an experienced Roofer's mate to join a UK-wide Solar PV installation team, helping to install solar panels and low-carbon technologies as part of a renewable energy initiative aimed at combating climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on rooftops
- Support the lead roofer in ensuring proper roofing and mounting of solar panels
- Prepare and handle roofing materials and tools for installation tasks
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during installation processes
- Help maintain a clean and organized work site
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, specifically in Solar PV installation, with a proven track record in roofing work related to solar panel installation.
- Ability to assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on UK homes, including tasks related to roofing and mounting solar panels.
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a nationwide team.
- Physical ability to perform roofing tasks, which may include working at heights, lifting heavy materials, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to roofing and solar panel installation.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-growing environment, supporting the installation and customer service processes.
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service and assisting customers in understanding and using renewable energy technology.
