Job Description
A Roofer mate role within a growing Solar PV installation team, supporting the installation of solar panels and low-carbon technologies across the UK to promote renewable energy and combat climate change.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of Solar PV systems on roofs
- Support the roofing team in preparing and securing roofing materials
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during installation activities
- Help with the maintenance and inspection of roofing and solar equipment
Requirements
- Experience as a Roofer or Roofer's mate, specifically in Solar PV installation, with a proven track record in roofing work related to solar panel installation
- Ability to assist with the installation of Solar PV systems on UK homes as part of a team
- Willingness to work across various locations in the UK as part of a nationwide team
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work safely on roofs and at heights
- Physical capability to perform roofing tasks, including working at heights, lifting, and handling roofing materials
- Basic understanding of roofing materials and techniques relevant to solar PV installation
- Commitment to providing high levels of customer service and assisting customers in understanding and using solar PV systems
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with team members and customers
