Job Description
The Platform Manager at Octopus Energy Generation oversees the development and management of a large renewable energy project portfolio across Europe, focusing on maximizing project value through various stages from early land acquisition to ready-to-build, and supporting decision-making and exits in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maximize the value of renewable energy development projects across different maturity stages and countries.
- Collaborate with developers to deliver investment cases and support project development aligned with market dynamics.
- Support decision-making and value creation for portfolio companies by providing data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
- Lead the development journey of projects from early stage land acquisition to readiness for construction and eventual exits.
Requirements
- Very commercially minded individual with understanding of renewables development and love for data analysis.
- Ability to communicate clearly with the team and senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting decision making and value creation for portfolio companies at a senior level.
- Experience in managing projects through their development journey from early stage land to ready to build.
- Experience in leading on exits of renewable energy projects.
- Ability to support and collaborate with developers to deliver on investment cases in changing commercial and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated understanding of the renewable energy sector, including onshore wind, solar power, energy storage, and e-fuels.
- Experience in managing a large development portfolio across multiple countries, specifically in Europe.
- Proven track record of value maximization of renewable energy projects through their development stages.
- Ability to support decision making for development investments and portfolio management.
- Experience working with board directors and fund managers to support strategic decisions.
- Willingness to work an average of 3 days per week in the office in London.
