Job Description
The Investment Manager role in Tokyo involves sourcing, evaluating, and managing renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and energy storage assets, supporting the company's expansion in Asia and contributing to the global renewable energy revolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and execute investment deals in renewable energy assets such as solar, wind, energy storage, and offshore projects
- Manage and oversee the performance of renewable energy assets within the investment portfolio
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis to support investment decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, partners, and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector
- Support the expansion of the investment portfolio in Asia and other regions
Requirements
- Experience working on deals in solar, wind onshore offshore, energy storage, and other energy transition asset management.
- Proven track record in sourcing, investing in, and managing utility-scale renewable energy assets.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of renewable energy assets, with familiarity in wind farms, solar power plants, energy storage, and hydrogen projects.
- Experience working on mandates involving projects in multiple countries, specifically in Asia (at least 5 countries).
- Ability to support the growth and expansion of investment activities in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy market, including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar power, energy storage, and hydrogen projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-growing team environment, preferably based out of Tokyo.
- Relevant professional experience in renewable energy asset management, investment, or deal-making roles.
