The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading health and safety initiatives across Octopus Energy Generation's renewable energy portfolio, ensuring compliance, embedding proactive risk management, and maintaining a culture of safety excellence through effective systems and oversight.

Requirements
The candidate must have experience in embedding proactive risk management and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory health and safety requirements across a portfolio of energy assets or similar complex environments.
The candidate must have the ability to ensure that effective health and safety systems, oversight, competent parties, and governance are in place, with the role acting as the lead for health and safety across OEGEN’s portfolio.
The candidate must have experience working with third-party safety advisory companies to achieve contractor safety and site-level safety delivery.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to renewable energy projects or similar industries.
The candidate must be willing and able to work an average of 3 days per week in the office located in London.
The candidate must have a minimum of a relevant professional qualification or experience in health and safety management (implied, as the role involves leading safety initiatives and embedding safety culture).
