Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful gross margin financial reporting, analysis, and support to improve margins within Octopus Energy's UK supply business, while collaborating with global teams and supporting industry changes in a hybrid London-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and insightful Gross Margin financial reporting at Month End and Year End
- Analyze datasets to support margin improvement initiatives, such as pricing of Time Of Use tariffs
- Support global teams by sharing best practices and assisting with industry changes like Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement
Requirements
- Provide timely, accurate and insightful Gross Margin financial reporting at Month End and Year End.
- Provide analysis and insight and support other teams to improve margin, for example, pricing of innovative Time Of Use tariffs.
- Support the UK supply businesses within Octopus Energy Group by parsing and analysing rich datasets related to gross margin.
- Support global teams from New Zealand to the US with best practices in financial management and reporting.
- Help to prepare for key industry changes such as Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement.
- Spend at least 3 days a week in the London office to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the business.
