Job Description
A Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving guidance, and engaging with customers to promote renewable energy initiatives, all while delivering excellent safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install smart meters and in-home displays in customers' homes
- Demonstrate how meters and displays work to customers and explain energy-saving benefits
- Answer customer questions related to smart meters and the green energy revolution
Requirements
- Proven track record of safety and customer excellence in a smart meter engineering or similar role.
- Ability to represent the company's brand professionally in customers' homes.
- Experience in fitting smart meters and in-home displays.
- Ability to demonstrate how meters and in-home displays work and how they can help customers save energy.
- Excellent customer engagement skills, including communicating effectively and answering customer questions about green energy solutions.
- Willingness to participate in a trades test to demonstrate technical skills.
- Willingness to answer online questions to demonstrate customer engagement experience.
- Willingness to participate in a short interview with the area manager to discuss experience and motivation.
