Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters to customers, providing energy-saving advice, and supporting the renewable energy revolution while delivering excellent customer service within the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate and explain the operation of meters and in-home displays to customers
- Educate customers on how meters can help save energy and support the green energy revolution
- Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
- Provide support and answer customer questions about energy saving and meter functionality
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brands in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers.
- Willingness and ability to perform the installation of dual fuel smart meters and in-home displays.
- Capability to demonstrate to customers how their meters and in-home displays work and how they can help save energy.
- Ability to answer customer questions about the green energy revolution and related topics.
- Willingness to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting company performance goals.
- Ability to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to delivering high-quality service.
- Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to accommodate individual circumstances.
- Good communication skills to interact with the recruitment team and support staff throughout the hiring process.
