Job Description
An Android Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining mobile applications that support MOPO's energy distribution platform in challenging environments across Africa, directly impacting communities by enabling efficient battery management and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android applications that operate reliably in challenging connectivity environments.
- Develop seamless interfaces between Android applications and the MOPO Platform backend.
- Enhance mobile capabilities to support rapid scaling across Africa.
- Shape the technical direction of the mobile architecture.
Requirements
- Experience in building and maintaining Android applications that work reliably in challenging connectivity environments.
- Ability to create seamless experiences that interface directly with backend platforms, specifically the MOPO Platform backend.
- Proficiency in developing mobile applications that enable thousands of agents to manage battery distribution and customer relationships.
- Experience in enhancing mobile capabilities to support rapid scaling across Africa.
- Ability to help shape the technical direction of mobile architecture.
- Strong understanding of Android development best practices and architecture.
- Experience working on applications that support energy distribution or similar infrastructure in underserved markets is preferred (implied by the context, but not explicitly stated as mandatory).
