Job Description
This role involves developing and optimizing infrastructure for autonomous vehicle machine learning systems, including model deployment, validation, and performance enhancement, to advance Nuro's self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy core infrastructure components for machine learning model lifecycle
- Optimize the autonomy stack using techniques like quantization, low precision inference, and model pruning
- Collaborate with engineers to validate, optimize, and deploy large language models
- Develop and maintain a model compiler framework (FTL)
- Write robust software to ensure vehicle navigation safety
- Work with domain experts to design and implement end-to-end learned ML solutions
Requirements
- Proficient in Python and C programming languages.
- Working experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Experience in designing, building, and deploying machine learning model pipelines.
- Ability to optimize, validate, and deploy large language models in collaboration with autonomy engineers.
- Experience developing and maintaining a model compiler framework, such as FTL.
- Ability to write robust, high-quality software to ensure vehicle navigation safety.
- Experience working closely with machine learning domain experts and engineers across behavior, perception, and mapping to design and implement end-to-end learned ML solutions.
- Highly productive, motivated, and comfortable working in new, unfamiliar environments.
- Experience with ML optimization techniques such as quantization, low precision inference, and model pruning (preferred).
- Experience maintaining, profiling, and optimizing GPU ML compiler runtimes (preferred).
- Experience writing custom ML operators in CUDA and Triton Language (preferred).
- Educational background or equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency in relevant technical skills (implied, as specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but inferred from the technical nature of the role).
