Job Description
This role involves developing and optimizing the core machine learning infrastructure for autonomous vehicles at Nuro, including designing scalable model pipelines, deploying models on self-driving robots, and collaborating with engineering teams to advance autonomous technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy core infrastructure components for machine learning model lifecycle
- Optimize autonomy stack using techniques like quantization, low precision inference, and model pruning
- Collaborate with engineers to validate, optimize, and deploy large language models
- Develop and maintain a model compiler framework (FTL)
- Write robust software to ensure vehicle navigation safety
- Work with domain experts to design and implement end-to-end machine learning solutions
Requirements
- Proficient in Python and C programming languages.
- Working experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Jax, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Highly productive, motivated, and comfortable with new, unfamiliar environments.
- Experience in designing, building, and deploying machine learning model pipelines and infrastructure components.
- Ability to optimize, validate, and deploy large language models in collaboration with autonomy engineers.
- Experience developing and maintaining a model compiler framework, such as FTL.
- Ability to write robust, high-quality software to ensure vehicle navigation safety.
- Experience with optimizing techniques like quantization, low precision inference, and model pruning.
- Experience maintaining, profiling, and optimizing GPU ML compiler runtimes.
- Experience writing custom ML operators in CUDA and Triton Language.
