Job Description
A software engineering intern role focused on developing and supporting autonomous vehicle technology, including data management, onboard systems, machine learning infrastructure, simulation, and technical infrastructure, working closely with expert teams in AI, robotics, and software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate access to AI Driver data, labels, and metrics within the Data Platform.
- Develop and maintain onboard systems to ensure reliable integration of autonomy software and hardware.
- Create solutions to accelerate machine learning development, including distributed training and inference optimization.
- Build and improve simulation frameworks for testing autonomous driving technology in virtual environments.
- Maintain and enhance core technical infrastructure services such as compute platforms, data storage, cloud resources, and engineering tools.
Requirements
- You are a current BS or MS candidate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field graduating in December 2026 or later.
- You have experience in one or more of the following areas: backend API design, applications development, large-scale distributed systems, data storage and processing systems, advanced algorithms using C and Python, machine learning, multithreading, x86 architecture and software performance tuning and optimization, robotics software frameworks, or different compute modalities such as CPU, GPU, FPGA.
- You have strong problem solving and programming skills.
