Job Description
This role involves building and maintaining talent pipelines for leadership and technical roles in AI, ML, and Robotics by sourcing passive candidates, engaging with engineering leaders, and employing strategic, creative recruiting methods to support Nuro's autonomous technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to define candidate profiles and sourcing strategies.
- Build and execute targeted searches for engineering and leadership roles.
- Craft personalized outreach to passive and competitive technical talent.
- Manage the candidate pipeline from research to initial engagement and qualification.
- Utilize creative sourcing channels to find hard-to-reach talent.
- Track and analyze sourcing data to improve processes and identify trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sourcing tools and methods.
- Support leadership searches by identifying successors and maintaining candidate slates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of technical sourcing experience with a proven track record in Leadership, Robotics, AI ML, Autonomy, or deeply technical engineering domains.
- Demonstrated success in engaging and converting high-caliber passive talent in competitive markets.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand how complex engineering systems fit together and to quickly ramp into new domains.
- Experience supporting or directly sourcing for leadership-level engineering roles.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent searches.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to use funnel metrics to prioritize, refine approaches, and communicate impact.
- Excellent at building personalized, thoughtful outreach to engage passive and competitive technical talent.
- Ability to leverage creative, non-traditional sourcing channels to uncover undervalued or hard-to-find talent.
- Experience tracking pipeline data, funnel health, and sourcing impact with rigor.
- Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Recruiting Operations, People Analytics, and Engineering partners.
- Eagerness to contribute to Nuro’s mission by supporting autonomy, robotics, and hard tech initiatives.
