Job Description
This role involves building and maintaining talent pipelines for leadership and technical roles in AI, ML, and Robotics at Nuro, focusing on strategic sourcing, candidate engagement, and collaboration with engineering teams to support the company's autonomous vehicle technology development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to define candidate profiles and sourcing strategies.
- Build and execute targeted searches for engineering and leadership roles in ML, AI, and Robotics.
- Craft personalized outreach to passive and competitive technical talent.
- Manage the candidate pipeline from research and mapping through initial engagement and qualification.
- Utilize creative sourcing channels to find undervalued or hard-to-find talent.
- Track and analyze sourcing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improve processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance sourcing tools and methodologies.
- Support leadership searches by identifying successors and maintaining candidate slates.
Requirements
- 5 years of technical sourcing experience with a proven track record in Leadership, Robotics, AI ML, Autonomy, or deeply technical engineering domains.
- Demonstrated success engaging and converting high-caliber passive talent in competitive markets.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand how complex engineering systems fit together and quickly ramp on new domains.
- Experience supporting or directly sourcing for leadership-level engineering roles.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent searches.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to use funnel metrics to prioritize, refine approaches, and communicate impact.
- Natural curiosity, persistence, and enthusiasm for digging deep, iterating, and playing the long-term sourcing game.
- Excitement about autonomy, robotics, and hard tech, with a desire to contribute to Nuro's mission.
