Job Description
A Machine Learning Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining tools to support the ML development lifecycle, ensuring efficient model deployment, performance monitoring, and collaboration across cross-functional teams in a self-driving technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain tools to track the model development lifecycle, including feature store, experiment tracking, and model registry
- Implement tools for efficient deployment and evaluation of ML models
- Develop issue detection and alerting mechanisms for ML services, data pipelines, and model deployments
- Maintain observability dashboards to monitor model performance, data quality, and system metrics
- Promote best practices for robust, reproducible, and debuggable ML experimentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs and integrate solutions across domains
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent experience in Masters or PhD with 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong coding skills in Python or C++
- Exposure to the ML development life cycle and ML models
- Experience profiling and optimizing performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
- Eagerness to overcome obstacles and accelerate development to make systems work better for the people who use them
