Job Description
The Technical Program Manager at Nuro is responsible for leading the development and execution of systems verification and validation tooling for autonomous driving systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and readiness for driverless deployment through cross-functional coordination and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional execution of systems verification and validation tooling programs for driverless deployment.
- Coordinate integration of tooling with simulation and autonomy stacks to ensure systems readiness.
- Translate verification needs into concrete tooling requirements across perception, planning, control, and safety validation workflows.
- Manage project plans, track progress, risks, and metrics using internal tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop infrastructure supporting model validation, synthetic data, and automation.
- Conduct validation tool readiness reviews to meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide updates, decision documentation, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to tooling workflows to accelerate validation cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or software development in robotics, automotive, or related technology domains.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering disciplines such as software, hardware, autonomy, or systems.
- Strong understanding of system verification and validation, testing frameworks, or simulation infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies, drive alignment, and communicate effectively across technical and leadership audiences.
- Proficiency with agile program tools such as Jira and Asana.
- Proficiency with technical documentation platforms such as Confluence.
- Experience translating high-level systems verification needs into concrete tooling requirements across perception, planning, control, and safety validation workflows.
- Experience building and maintaining detailed execution plans, tracking progress, risks, and metrics.
- Ability to partner with systems and simulation engineers to evolve infrastructure supporting model validation, synthetic data, test orchestration, and automation at scale.
- Experience driving validation tool readiness reviews and ensuring tooling stacks meet regulatory and internal safety certification standards for driverless operations.
- Ability to provide regular program updates, decision documents, and risk assessments to technical and leadership stakeholders.
- Experience identifying bottlenecks in tooling workflows and implementing improvements to accelerate system validation cycles.
