Key Responsibilities
- Nuro is looking for a Product Designer to help shape the tools, interfaces, and experiences that support the development and deployment of autonomous driving technology. This role sits at the intersection of product design, autonomy, simulation, developer tooling, and operational tooling. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and operators to turn complex technical systems into intuitive, elegant user experiences.
- This role is best suited for a designer who is energized by technical depth, ambiguity, and the opportunity to design tools used by highly technical users. You will work across 2D interfaces, 3D environments, spatial workflows, data visualization, and internal systems that help teams understand, debug, evaluate, and improve performance.
Requirements
- Experience designing complex software products for technical or expert users.
- Demonstrated spatial, simulation, mapping, robotics, gaming, AR/VR, automotive, or data visualization design experience.
- Strong portfolio showing product thinking, interaction design, visual design, and ability to simplify complex workflows.
- Proficiency with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and workflows to accelerate execution, enhance design craft, and navigate technical complexity.
- Ability to partner closely with engineering teams and understand technical constraints.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills.
