Job Description
The role involves advancing machine learning models for autonomous vehicles, focusing on perception and behavior, deploying solutions on real-world robots, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex AI challenges in self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and advance end-to-end machine learning models for autonomous vehicles, including perception and behavior generation.
- Experiment with state-of-the-art ML architectures using large-scale real-world datasets and compute infrastructure.
- Research and implement solutions for challenging AV problems such as long-tail event handling, safety, and verifiable reasoning.
- Collaborate with autonomy teams to identify challenges and design holistic, learned solutions.
- Build and optimize data, training, evaluation, and validation pipelines for ML models.
- Deploy practical, high-performance ML solutions to the NuroDriver autonomous vehicle system.
Requirements
- Possess an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a closely related field, or have at least 3 years of experience focusing on one or more of these areas.
- Have subject matter expertise and research experience in at least one of the following areas: Machine Learning, End-to-End Autonomous Driving Models, Imitation Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or World Models.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and programming skills in Python.
- Have experience with C programming language (preferred).
- Utilize coding best practices as part of your work.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently push multi-faceted projects forward, collaborate across organizations, and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Have research publications at major conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CoRL, RSS, or ICRA.
