Job Description
The role involves developing and deploying advanced machine learning techniques to solve perception, prediction, and planning challenges in autonomous driving systems, working closely with autonomy teams to build scalable and real-world applicable self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and apply advanced machine learning techniques to perception, prediction, and planning problems in autonomous systems
- Build and utilize efficient machine learning data pipelines
- Lead technical teams and oversee deployment of autonomous software to public roads
Requirements
- Have 6 years of work experience with an M.Sc. or Ph.D. focusing on one or more of the following areas: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a closely related field
- Have deep subject matter expertise and research in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Robotics
- Possess strong problem solving and programming skills in C or Python
- Demonstrate deep expertise and prior experience in solving perception, prediction, and planning problems in autonomous systems using advanced machine learning techniques such as foundation models, multi-modal LLMs, generative models, out-of-distribution detection, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning
- Build and leverage effective and efficient machine learning data pipelines
- Provide technical and people leadership to a large team
- Have experience in deploying autonomous software to public roads
- Have research publications in major conferences such as RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, AAAI, or similar
