Job Description
A Controls Engineer at Nuro will develop and optimize control software for autonomous vehicles, ensuring safety, performance, and adaptability across different platforms, while collaborating with a team of engineers to advance autonomous driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust, reliable, and optimized production-level control software adhering to safety standards.
- Adapt and evolve core control software to support new vehicle platforms and capabilities.
- Conduct vehicle bring-up, controls tuning, testing, and debugging to meet performance, quality, and drivability targets.
Requirements
- MS in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, aerospace, robotics, or closely related fields with focus on Controls
- Proven experience implementing classical and modern control methods e.g., PID, LQR, MPC and or Machine Learning for Controls through academic projects or professional work
- Strong Embedded C preferred or C programming skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
