Job Description
The Portfolio Services Manager at Nexamp oversees the independent engineering review process for solar and storage projects, managing technical due diligence, project documentation, and stakeholder communication to support project financing and operational success in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Independent Engineer (IE) due-diligence process and critical deliverables for solar and storage projects.
- Coordinate internal teams and external reviewers to ensure timely and high-quality IE reports, certifications, and documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison between IEs and internal stakeholders, interpreting technical feedback and resolving conflicts.
- Monitor project milestones and coordinate third-party certifications to meet financing and project completion requirements.
- Organize and perform quality control on project documents, design reviews, and technical reports.
- Support risk management and ongoing due diligence processes related to IE reviews and project data analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in technical and financial due diligence for renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, risk identification and mitigation, handling complex data sets and documentation, and prioritizing key priorities and outcomes.
- Experience in managing the Independent Engineer (IE) review process, including managing IE contracts and coordinating internal resources to ensure high-quality, timely IE deliverables that support financing stakeholders.
- Ability to act as the primary liaison between Independent Engineers and internal teams, including interpreting technical feedback and resolving conflicting inputs in a timely manner.
- Experience in facilitating the exchange of project information and documentation in support of IE due diligence reviews, managing IE deliverables reports, certificates, etc., in alignment with financing schedules.
- Experience monitoring and preparing for critical project milestones such as mechanical completion (MC) and substantial completion (SC), and coordinating third-party certifications to meet financing milestones or requirements.
- Experience leading the organization and quality control of project documents and design reviews.
- Ability to support risk management processes and standards related to IE due diligence.
- Experience managing high volumes of project data, including contracts, design documents, PVsyst reports, site visits, construction monitoring, commissioning tests, and performance analysis of operating assets.
- Strong project management skills, including managing critical paths, navigating scopes of work, and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying technical and project information to internal teams and third-party reviewers.
- Ability to interpret technical feedback and resolve conflicting inputs in a timely manner.
- Ability to support workflow evolution with adaptation to AI tools, project management software, etc.
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers and stakeholders to instill trust and loyalty.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
