Job Description
The Grid Integration Program Manager oversees solar PV grid integration projects from initial approval to operational status, coordinating multiple projects, managing risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and aligning resources to meet program goals within the clean energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee PV solar grid integration projects from UIA pre-NTP to Permission to Operate (PTO).
- Track project progress, manage interdependencies, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Develop and manage the program roadmap, aligning multiple project timelines and critical milestones.
- Manage program-level costs, budgets, and resource allocation to stay within financial targets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements.
- Lead risk management efforts at the program level, addressing inter-project risks and escalating issues.
- Develop and publish project management tools such as Burn Down Charts and status updates.
- Provide strategic oversight and reporting to senior leadership on program performance and KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of developer, construction management, engineering, utility, or solar industry experience with a successful track record in project program management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications plans.
- Working knowledge of various areas of construction including civil construction, electrical construction, and utility construction.
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards, with OSHA 10 as a minimum requirement.
- Understanding of quality control methods and procedures.
- Strong administrative skills, including the use of computers, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Procore, data acquisition systems, SCADA, communications, and remote computing.
- Experience in commissioning PV systems and BESS storage is a plus.
- Understanding of medium voltage systems and equipment is a plus.
- Valid and current Driver’s License.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Ability to effectively communicate information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
- Experience in making improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Experience in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
- Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission and passion for solving climate crisis issues.
- Ability to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
