Job Description
The position involves monitoring and troubleshooting renewable energy assets such as solar and battery storage systems, ensuring optimal performance, and coordinating with team members to resolve issues. It is an entry-level role focused on supporting the operations of Nexamp's renewable energy fleet, with training provided and opportunities for career growth in the clean energy sector.
Responsibilities
- •Monitor daily production of solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage plants
- •Identify potential issues and perform remote troubleshooting
- •Provide outage updates and resolutions in monitoring platform
- •Communicate with customers, equipment manufacturers, field technicians, and utility personnel
- •Log information and facilitate resolutions to maximize production and ensure safety
- •Manage operations email inbox, alarms, and alerts, and notify appropriate personnel
- •Assist in generating energy production reports
- •Continuously optimize monitoring practices and procedures
- •Work additional hours as needed to support operations
Requirements
- •High school diploma, with a preference for some post high school education, vocational, or technical school training.
- •Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- •Ability to work well in a structured, team environment.
- •Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations at facilities.
- •Comfortable working through repetitive tasks with great attention to detail.
- •Computer knowledge and competency with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel.
- •Ability to read plans.
- •Ability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
- •Availability to work a shift between the hours of 7am-4pm ET, as determined upon hire.
- •Enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player.
- •Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical terms such as voltage, current, power, and energy.
- •Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
- •Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
- •Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- •Ability to build strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
- •Commitment to Nexamp’s mission and a passion for solving climate change issues.
- •Willingness to work occasional overtime to support the needs of the Operations Center.
