Job Description
A field-based Utility Meter Reader responsible for collecting and entering utility consumption data from meters in residential and commercial buildings, primarily through walking and independent work, with training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Support meter data collection in designated geographic areas.
- Accurately collect and enter meter data using a company-issued tablet.
- Coordinate with clients to access metering equipment.
- Manage daily schedule with minimal supervision.
- Perform extensive walking and independent work in the field.
Requirements
- The candidate must be able to support meter data collection in Montgomery and Eastern Chester Counties and surrounding areas, which involves extensive walking and fieldwork.
- The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing their daily schedule effectively.
- The candidate must accurately collect and enter meter data using a company-issued tablet.
- The candidate must have the physical ability to perform extensive walking and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Training will be provided, so prior experience in meter reading is not mandatory but must be willing to learn.
- The candidate must be able to coordinate directly with clients to access metering equipment in various locations.
- The candidate must possess good organizational skills to manage their daily schedule and ensure accurate data collection.
- The candidate must be able to work in a field-based environment, which may involve physical demands such as walking and outdoor activity.
