Job Description
An AI Engineer at Affinity will design and develop large language model-powered AI systems to extract insights from vast datasets, supporting the company's relationship intelligence platform. The role involves building retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, multi-agent systems, and collaborating cross-functionally to create scalable, high-quality AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy RAG pipelines combining vector search, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and contextual compression techniques
- Develop LLM-powered agent systems and orchestrate multi-agent LLM frameworks
- Work on information extraction, storage, and retrieval problems for structured and unstructured data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, robust data processing and ML systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering and/or Machine Learning experience in applying machine learning in production.
- Hands-on experience with LLM applications in production, including prompt engineering and utilizing frameworks for online and offline evaluation.
- Experience with LLM assisted search, such as query understanding and augmentation, text2sql, and entity extraction.
- Experience with vector or graph databases.
- Experience with document chunking, embedding models, and context window optimization.
- Familiarity with metadata-based retrieval and re-ranking strategies.
- Hands-on experience with model evaluation metrics such as perplexity, hallucination rate, and factual consistency.
- Familiarity with data security, versioning, and MLOps principles.
