The VP of Business Development - EMEA is a senior leadership role responsible for expanding Loft Orbital's presence and securing strategic partnerships and opportunities within the European space sector, focusing on government and commercial clients, to drive regional growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and expand business development efforts across European institutional and commercial sectors
Strengthen relationships with European governmental bodies, agencies, and commercial players
Identify, influence, and secure strategic opportunities to drive company growth in the region
Build and manage strategic partnerships with organizations such as CNES, ESA, EC, DLR, and UKSA
Engage with stakeholders, craft proposals, and pursue opportunities aligned with regional initiatives like France 2030 and Hexagon project
Requirements
Experience in leading and expanding business development efforts across European institutional and commercial sectors, with a focus on space industry opportunities.
Proven ability to strengthen relationships with European governmental bodies, agencies, and commercial players, including experience engaging with entities such as CNES, ESA, EC, DLR, UKSA, and similar organizations.
Demonstrated success in identifying, influencing, and securing strategic opportunities that drive company growth in the European space sector.
Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships, including managing collaborations with space agencies and governmental organizations.
Ability to craft winning proposals and engage deeply with stakeholders to secure business opportunities.
Strong leadership skills as a senior leader responsible for regional business development activities.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex ideas and messages clearly and effectively.
Experience working in or with the space industry, particularly in satellite missions, Earth observation, IoT connectivity, in-orbit demonstrations, or national security missions, is preferred.
Ability to operate in an international environment, collaborating across multiple offices and cultural contexts.
